Audi has announced a pair of special-edition performers for the Australian market this week, including the RS 5 Coupe Limited Edition and the R8 Carbon Edition.
The special new models join the TT RS S tronic Limited Edition, launched at this year's Australian International Motor Show in Melbourne.
Audi says all three special edition models have been put together specifically for the Australian market.
Audi TT RS S tronic Limited Edition
Limited to 45 examples, the TT RS S tronic LE is offered in Ibis White, Phantom Black and Suzuka Grey.
Features include:
- Black exterior styling package
- Metallic paint
- 19-inch 5-arm Rotor design wheels in titanium finish
- Sports exhaust system for an even more spine-tingling soundtrack
- Adaptive headlights
- BOSE sound system
- Extended leather package
- LED interior lighting package
The TT RS S tronic Limited Edition is priced at $139,900 - unchanged from the regular model.
In all, the additional features add up to $8460.
Audi RS 5 Coupe Limited Edition
Going on sale ahead of the updated-for-2012 RS 5's arrival next year, the RS 5 Coupe Limtied Edition will be limited to just 25 examples in Australia.
Features include:
- Black exterior styling package
- 20-inch 5-arm Rotor design wheels in titanium finish
- Sports exhaust system to heighten the V8 symphony
- Panoramic glass sunroof
- Bang & Olufsen surround sound system
- Driver’s seat with memory function, including folding/auto dimming exterior mirrors
As with the TT RS, pricing for the RS 5 Coupe Limited Edition remains unchanged from the regular model at $175,300.
Audi R8 Carbon Edition
Sitting at the top of the Audi hierarchy is the R8, available with V8 and V10 powerplants. Both versions are available with the new R8 Carbon Edition specification, in Coupe and Spyder bodystyles - and only 10 in total will be offered.
Features include:
- 19-inch wheels in 5-twin spoke design with titanium finish
- Carbon exterior package, including front spoiler and rear diffuser in carbon
- Carbon sideblade
- Carbon exterior mirror housings
- Carbon door sills, illuminated
- Black exterior package
Audi says the Carbon Edition represents $38,100 of additional value, at $10,900 above the purchase price of the chosen R8 model.
