Audi’s compact A1 Sportback hatch and Q3 SUV models, revealed in their refreshed 2015 forms late last year, will go on sale in Australia from June.

The cost of entry into both model lines has increase for the new model year, the A1 up by $400 to $26,900 and the Q3 by $600 to $42,900 (plus on-road costs).

New features and performance improvements are promised, however, including the addition of new 1.0 litre three-cylinder and 1.8 litre four-cylinder engines for the light-footed A1.

For the Q3, there's new looks and a streamlined engine range for the 2015 model year.

The new mill, a 1.0 litre turbocharged petrol unit, replaces the previous A1 range’s 1.2 litre four-cylinder engine.

Power with the new engine increases from 63 to 70kW, while torque remains unchanged at 160Nm, again available between 1500 and 3500rpm.
