Porsche has given fans a look at the next generation Cayenne SUV ahead of an official debut this week.
In a teaser silhouette, the SUV shows off its new lines that bring it more in-line with Porsche’s current design language without departing completely from the look of the outgoing model.
However, the silhouette may be deceiving as the final design could be more evolutionary than Porsche is letting on.
Spy photos and the word on the ground in Europe suggest a clean-sheet look for the all-new Cayenne, with an overhauled interior to match.
Porsche’s new model should put the Cayenne at the pointy end of the large, luxury SUV market, which included fellow Germans Mercedes-Benz’s GLE-Class, the Audi Q7 and the BMW X5.
Also, Audi’s new Q8 could give Cayenne customers reason to reconsider, when it arrives.
A full reveal is expected to take place this week in a ceremony at Porsche’s Stuttgart HQ which the carmaker promises will be “a spectacular presentation featuring music, light, and choreography".
Later this year, visitors to the Frankfurt Motor Show will no doubt see the new Cayenne featuring prominently on the Porsche stand.
