Mazda has updated its CX-9 large SUV for the 2018 model-year, just over 12 months after the current-generation model arrived in Australia.

Prices have risen by over $1000 across the range, but Mazda has added “dynamic, safety and comfort upgrades” into the value equation.

Ticking those boxes one-at-a-time, the ‘dynamic’ upgrade primarily consists of Mazda’s G-Vectoring Control (GVC) system - which Mazda says brings improved handling and comfort.

GVC adjusts the engine’s torque relative to steering input for a more sure-footed drive and better control over G-forces while accelerating.
