2018 Honda Civic Type R – Price And Features For Australia

The hotly anticipated Honda Civic Type R may still be a few months away from its official Australian debut, but pricing and initial specifications have been revealed today, giving hot hatch fans an informative idea of what to expect when the new model hits showrooms in October.

Despite earlier claims that the new performance hero would arrive under $50k, Honda has broken its promise with the Civic Type R starting from $50,990 plus on-road costs - putting it line-ball with the price of Ford’s Focus RS, but $2000 cheaper than the Volkswagen Golf R.

The Civic Type R will arrive in a single specification, with standard features including Brembo brakes, adaptive dampers, and 20-inch alloy wheels.
