The Megane wagon will arrive with a three-model range covering base-model Zen and sporty-styled GT-Line variants powered by a 97kW/205Nm 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, or the sportier GT grade with a 151kW/280Nm 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine with all variants featuring a seven-speed dual clutch automatic.
The Megane Zen wagon is priced from $28,490 (plus on-road costs) with standard features including front and rear park sensors, a reversing camera, 16-inch alloy wheels, 7.0-inch touchscreen navigation, auto lights and wipers, keyless entry and start, Bluetooth, eight-speaker audio, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The Zen is also available with autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, and auto high-beam for an additional $700.
The Megane GT-Line wagon adds a larger 8.7-inch touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, alcantara upholstery, heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, rear privacy glass, side park sensors, adaptive cruise control, 17-inch alloy wheels, plus the Zen’s optional safety pack with added blind spot monitoring for $33,490 plus on-road costs.
As well as a more powerful engine, the GT wagon also steps-up with black and blue Alcantara trim, a sporty exterior styling package including a Renault Sport front bumper with gloss black inserts, sports suspension, four-wheel steering and launch control.
Megane Sedan buyers miss-out on the more powerful 1.6-litre engine, with only two 1.2-litre variants available, the Zen and Intens.
The Zen sedan matches the standard specifications of the Zen wagon and is priced from $27,490 plus on-road costs.
The Intens sedan adds 18-inch alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, an 8.7-inch touchscreen, sunroof, LED daytime running lights, but sticks with cloth trim from $31,990. The GT-Line’s safety equipment is also standard.
Renault has also updated the Megane hatch range to match the sedan and wagon with a $700 safety pack for Life and Zen models, while the GT-Line and GT hatch pick up the extra standard safety kit and the larger 8.7-inch touchscreen display.
