Peugeot has lifted the lid on its updated 2008 SUV at the Geneva Motor Show ahead of its arrival in Australia later this year.

For overseas markets, the small SUV steps up to Peugeot’s range of PureTech 1.2 litre three-cylinder engines with power outputs ranging from 60kW without turbocharger to 82 and 97kW in the turbocharged options.

Transmission options include both five- and six-speed manuals, along with five- and six-speed automatics, while fuel consumption with the aid of stop-start technology is rated between 4.4 and 4.9 l/100km.

Diesel options include a trio of 1.6 litre turbocharged units with power outputs measuring 56, 75 and 89kW, matched with five- or six-speed manuals, with the 75kW version also offering a six-speed automatic.
