Fans of Volkswagen’s legendary GTI can now get into a new Performance model, with the special enhancement pack making its Australian debut this week.
Priced at $48,490 - $500 more than initially confirmed in October last year - the auto-only GTI Performance enters the range above the DSG-equipped GTI.
The regular GTI models have also gone up by $500 each since their October launch.
As for the auto-only Performance, VW says the cost of development for market homologation moved headquarters to allow our market only one transmission. The company says it expects the majority of buyers to prefer an auto.
