Maserati has revealed new information on its upcoming Quattroporte sedan, confirming a number of mechanical details ahead of its 2013 debut.
As expected, the entry-level engine option in the new Quattroporte range will be a 3.0 litre V6, based on Chrysler's Pentastar engine.
With twin turbochargers and direct-injection up its sleeve, the enhanced mill promises 300kW at 5500rpm, and 550Nm of torque from 1750rpm.
Matched with an eight-speed automatic transmission, Maserati says the V6 will push the large sedan to 96km/h (60mph) in 4.7 seconds, with a top speed of 307km/h.
Topping the two-engine line-up is a brand-new 3.8 litre twin-turbocharged and direct-injected V8, delivering 390kW at 6500rpm and 650Nm of torque from 2000rpm - 710Nm with its overboost function.
