Bentley's new Continental Flying Spur limo has been spied wearing camouflage designed to evoke thoughts of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

The clever disguise doesn't stretch to the grille, however, revealing a very Bentley front end. Apart from the famous grille design, the GT W12's 21-inch wheels are also a dead giveaway.

Behind the Merc-a-like lenses, you can just see the trademark oval headlight pairs of the Flying Spur. At the rear, it's likely to gain the sharper edges of the refreshed Continental GT and Mulsanne.

As the Flying Spur shares its platform with the GT, expect to see more of the same: all-wheel drive and the twin-turbo W12 good for 423kW.

Another solid bet would be a new 'entry-level' model with the twin-turbo V8 found in the Continental GT's lower-spec model.

The 373kW, 660Nm V8 features fuel-saving cylinder-blocking. This technology drops four cylinders under light load to act as a V4 and knocks 40% off fuel usage - 10.5l/100km versus 17.1l/100km for the W12.

The eight-speed automatic would also be carried over.
