2014 Bathurst 12-Hour: Ferrari Breaks Through, Lap Record For McLaren

Maranello Motorsport has given Ferrari its first victory in the Bathurst 12-Hour, becoming the third marque in the last three years to win the endurance event.

The number 88 458 GT3 took the chequered flag just 0.4 seconds ahead of the second-placed number 84 HTP Motorsport Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3.

Despite looking strong for the first eight hours of the event, the Erebus Motorsport number 1 SLS AMG GT3 could not defend its title from last year, finishing seventh and five laps down after lengthy repairs to the rear of the car.
