Renault's next-generation Clio light hatch will make its online debut this week, according to overseas reports.
It is already known that the new Clio will get an unveiling at September's Paris Motor Show, but if these reports are accurate, fans will get a glimpse of the hatch sooner than expected.
The new Clio has been spied testing in both regular and Renaultsport hotbox trim, with all specification grades expected to be offered in five-door form only.
The spied cars reveal more rounded lines than the current model, with Renault's new narrow grille design stretching across the headlights, and a rising belt-line ending in curved rear.
International powertrain options for the new Clio are expected to include small turbocharged petrol and diesel engines, along with the flagship RS performance model.
Recent reports have also pointed to a version of the turbocharged 1.6 litre engine driving the Nissan Juke, developing around 150kW - compared to the 147.5kW output of the existing naturally-aspirated Clio RS.
A new dual-clutch transmission is also expected to feature as an option, aided by steering-mounted paddle shifters.
