Kia has released a pair of teaser illustrations for its all-new 2013 Cerato sedan, ahead of the small car's unveiling at November's Los Angeles Auto Show.
The images suggest the new Cerato will take some cues from the European-market Cee'd, while revealing a new upturned take on the brand's familiar 'tiger nose' grille design.
The new artwork also confirms that renderings discovered online late last year of a fast Cerato-sized sedan were a strong hint at what we could expect later this year.
Like its platfom-mate, the new Hyundai i30, the 2013 Cerato will feature a rising beltline, while bringing a slick new four-door coupe look to the party.
The style shown here forms part of a sharp new approach to Kia styling that has already had its way with the formerly pedestrian Rio light car, among others in the range.
While the images shown here reveal hints of BMW and Volkswagen - strong brands to draw inspiration from - it is clear that this third-generation model will propel the Cerato into a styling class that even the current Koup variant couldn't reach.
