Unable to contain its enthusiasm for the next generation of its volume-selling small car, Kia has revealed the brand-new 2013 Cerato sedan just three days after dropping a handful of teaser images.
Technical details remain light, but it is known that the new Cerato is longer, lower and wider than the outgoing model, gaining an all-new bodyshell and a longer wheelbase - making it longer also than the new Hyundai i30.
The new Cerato brings a sleeker profile and the latest aesthetic touches featuring in the Kia line-up, including LED front and rear lighting and a chrome-trimmed belt line.
While the 2013 Cerato's styling reveals echoes of the new European-market Cee'd, it is clear that Kia's new small car represents another step in the brand's evolving design language.
In its home market of Korea, the new Cerato will be sold as the K3, entering beneath the existing K5 - sold in Australia as the Optima - and the overseas-market K7 (Cadenza) and new K9 (Quoris).
