Officially, the all-new 2012 Lexus GS F Sport will make its global debut at next month's SEMA show in Las Vegas. Lucky visitors to this week's Johanneseburg International Motor Show have caught an early look however, thanks to a surprise unveiling.

Lexus is keeping the details close to its chest, but with the F Sport package usually focusing on styling and handling, there may not be a great deal to know.

From the outside, it's clear that the GS F Sport is the most closely related to the earlier LF-Gh concept, adopting larger wheels and a version of the showcar's front bumper and mesh grille pattern.

The rear end is not shown here, so it remains to be seen if the concept's jagged taillights will carry over. We suspect not.

Under the skin, we can likely expect an enhanced performance-tuned suspension and braking package, along with the usual assortment of interior sports-focused highlights.

Watch for more details to come out of the GS F Sport's unveiling at SEMA next month.
