2012 BMW 1 Series Three-door Spied Testing

The three-door variant in BMW's new 1 Series range has been spied testing this week, following recent shots of a new three-door testing in the new M Performance guise. 

The debut of the 1 Series three-door hatch, likely at March's Geneva Motor Show, will grow the line to two bodystyles. 

Whether we'll see a 1 Series-badged Coupe and Cabriolet in the future is unclear. While those bodystyles are likely, reports over the past year suggest BMW will give the pair a new 2 Series badge and their own unique styling.

A 'Gran Turismo' version is also rumoured, following in the footsteps of the larger 5 Series GT and the upcoming 3 Series GT.
