Wiesmann Roadster soon to be available with V8 and V10 power

Those amongst us who are avid followers of Top Gear will know all about the MF3 Wiesmann Roadster. Hammond enjoyed the test drive so much he is reported to have purchased one of the decidedly expensive machines.

Built by specialty German manufacturer Wiesmann, the sportscar is available as a Roadster or GT. Both variants combine 'old world' looks and charm with BMW M power, along with the latest in chassis, suspension and braking technology.

In the case of the MF3, it is BMW’s much loved 3.2-litre straight-six from the last gen M3 that provides the power. There is also an MF4 GT variant fitted with BMW’s 4.8-litre V8 and the range topping MF5 GT fitted with the M5’s 5.0-litre V10!

Wiesmann have now confirmed that they will be producing MF4 and MF5 roadster variants with the new hyper-roadsters expected to debut at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show.
