THE 2011 VOLVO S60 has yet to make its market debut, but already Volvo is preparing a hot version for its Geneva Motor Show stand - possibly marking the return of the R designation.

Volvo has revealed next to nothing on its plans, but according to the two short videos it has issued this week, something 'naughty' is in store. As the muddled teaser image above shows, we can at least expect sportier wheels, twin exhaust tips, a faux diffuser and a rear wing.

With the upgraded T6 petrol engine set to figure among the new model's engine line-up, offering a performance-oriented S60 won't be a stretch for the Swedish carmaker.

According to Volvo, the updated 3.0 litre T6 petrol engine, producing 224kW and 440Nm of torque, will take the new S60 to 100km/h in 6.5 seconds. Top speed is 250km/h.
