Video: Testing the AMG SL65 Black Series

The power-mad engineers (bless them all) of Mercedes sports division AMG, have just released a video to whet your appetite for the new 'top dog' of the Mercedes AMG range: the AMG SL65 Black Series.

TMR brought you news of this powerhouse of a machine, stripped down and made leaner for the track, several weeks ago. Now we can actually see it being put through its paces in the hands of skilled and respected German DTM driver Bernd Schneider.

Availability of this extreme model in Australia has yet to be decided but expect it to be carrying a serious Ferrari/Lamborghini (or similar) price tag. The normal SL65 AMG costs a wallet-crunching $492,000 AUD figure so expect this stripped-out and limited number 'uber' version of the car to be nudging the $550,000 AUD mark.
