Our friends in Stuttgart are partial to a special edition or two, and with the Boxster RS 60 Spyder and Cayman S Porsche Design Edition 1 sold out, it was time for Porsche to take the wraps of its latest limited run vehicles. So without further ado, Meet the new Boxster S Porsche Design Edition 2 and Cayman S Sport.

Both new models receive an 8hp boost in power, but from there the feature list begins to differ somewhat. The Boxster leans more towards the visual, with a new paint job in Carrera White, matching centre console and instrument faces, while 19" SportDesign wheels, grey racing stripes and a grey roof with black leather interior round out the package.

The Cayman improves aesthetics in a similar fashion but with more vibrance than its sibling. While you can opt for Black, Indian Red, Speed Yellow, Carrera White, or Arctic Silver Metallic the pick of the bunch will likely be the same bright orange or green as that found on the GT3. Throw in black wheels, side mirrors, and leather interior, and you've got quite a nice contrast.

Choosing the Cayman is not just a matter of appearance either, as the add-on list also includes Porsche Active Suspension Management (dropping ride height by 10mm), a sports exhaust system, bi-xenon headlights, the Sports Chrono Package—more info on that here—and sports seats all as standard.

You might want to get in quick if you're considering these new models, as the numbers are limited to 500 and 700 Boxsters and Caymans respectively. Given the popularity of the previous special editions, they definitely won't last long.
