Spotting a Ferrari in Monaco isn't the most difficult of tasks, but when you happen to stumble across a one-of-a-kind Fezza, well, that's a different story.

Snapped by Autogespot, this particular prancing horse is known as the Giugiaro GG50 and was a gift from Italdesign's Giorgetto Giugiaro to himself, to celebrate fifty years in the business.

First unveiled back in 2005, the GG50 sits atop a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti platform and features the same drivetrain package beneath the sheet metal.

Mechanically, the car is identical to the donor Scaglietti. There's a 5.7 litre V12 engine punching out over 400kW (540hp) at 7200rpm, with power sent to the rears via a six-speed automatic transmission.

Visually, the GG50 is in a league of its own: love it or loathe it, the GG50 is definitely unique. Over 100mm (4 inches) was lopped-off the length of the donor 612, with custom body work, headlights and interior completing the transformation.

Despite the shortening, the GG50 is still a 2+2 and will take a few sets of golf clubs in the back. Better still, the rear seats can be folded down to increase boot space to a healthy 500 litres.

While the styling may not be to everyone's taste, the Giugiaro GG50 is a head-turner... even on a Monaco street.

Check out a few more shots of the GG50 getting wet in the gallery below.
