Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall for its 2016 C-Class in Australia, due to a potential problem with the front spoiler.

The carmaker says the lower lip section of the spoiler may not have been attached according to specifications when the cars were built.

As a result, the lower lip may detach from the spoiler while driving, potentially creating a hazard for the vehicle’s occupants and other road users.

Just six vehicles are included in the recall, and all were built during March this year.

Last week, Benz recalled its diesel-powered C 200d due to potential fuel leak. Affected models were built between December 2014 and March 2016.

Mercedes-Benz will attempt to contact affected owners shortly, but any owner wishing to learn about the latest round of recalls should contact their local dealer.
