Mazda2 | Mazda CX-3 | Mazda CX-9 Recalled For Front Suspension Bolt

Mazda has recalled a trio of models due to potential problems with the front suspension.

The carmaker has identified an issue with the lower nut and bolt that secures the front suspension strut to the steering knuckle.

The fastener may not have been tightened to specification, which may result in the nut parting company with the bolt.

Should this occur, one or both sides of the front suspension could be affected, with a loss or steering resulting in extreme circumstances.

The recall affects a total of 297 vehicles in Australia - 217 CX-3s, 22 CX-9s and 58 Mazda2s - with a specific range of Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) targeted.

Affected models were sold between February 2013 and December of last year.

Mazda will attempt to contact affected owners shortly, but any owner wishing to learn more about the latest round of recalls should contact their local dealer.
