International Engine of the Year Awards

The International Engine of the Year Awards results are now in for 2007. As expected the BMW V10 took the performance engine award and Volkswagen took the gong for Best new Engine with its 1.4-litre TSI engine.

The awards are organised by UKIP Media & Events - Automotive Magazines Division which is Britain's largest group of technical publications. The judges include well known motoring journalists from around the world including John Carey and Bill McKinnon from Australia.

What happened to the glorious Audi 4.2-litre V8 as found in the Audi RS4 and R8? The judges were obviously napping through that presentation... You can see the major category results below.
