Hyundai reveal Genesis badge

Hyundai has seen fit to confirm a few details regarding their upcoming rear-wheel-drive chassis and to give us a first look at their new Genesis badge. Not nearly as exciting as all of the recent Genesis sedan spy pictures or even the unveiling of the Genesis Coupe concept at the Los Angeles Motor Show but at least they are making an effort to keep up with what has become a steady stream of unofficial information.

As already presumed by anyone interested, the Genesis sedan will feature the Tau V8 with 280kW/375hp along with a choice of two Lambda V6 engines, a 3.3-litre and a 3.8-litre unit. Hyundai did not confirm the fitment of the Tau V8 to the Genesis Coupe – but they didn’t officially deny it either.

Hyundai have developed a new wing themed badge for their Genesis range and say that the wings a representative of the “spirit of flight and soaring above it all” . Okay… The new be-winged Genesis badge will only feature on Korean and Chinese delivered cars, meaning that the other markets will continue to know the Hyundai as…well…a Hyundai.
