Alloy wheels now standard on the Falcon XT
Ford Australia has provided an update of the specifications and pricing for the FG Falcon range. Starting with Falcons produced in September, the FG Falcon XT will be fitted with 16-inch alloy wheels as standard

These particular alloys will look familiar to folks who know their Falcons, having been first introduced for the launch of FG Falcon. The new design five-spoke alloy wheels were previously available as an option on Falcon XT for the recommended retail price of $500.
FG Falcon – option availability update
The current FG Falcon brochure (published April 2008) lists the reverse camera and premium audio system options as being available on G6 from the fourth quarter in 2008. However, Ford has now advised that the development of these features has been completed ahead of schedule, and they are both available to option immediately.
The premium audio system has a 262-watt total power output and consists of:
- AM/FM radio
- Six-disc, in-dash CD/MP3 player
- Eight speakers
- 150-watt amplifier and sub-woofer
- Seven-inch colour TFT display screen for the Interior Command Centre (ICC)
- Graphic equaliser
FG Falcon Ute – specification and pricing update
The good news for new FG Ute buyers is that Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) will be fitted as standard equipment on all petrol FG Falcon Ute XR models, effective from September 1.
New pricing* for FG Falcon Ute XR models is as follows:
- XR6 (CC) - $34,590
- XR6 (SSB) - $34,990
- XR6 Turbo - $38,990
- XR8 - $38,990
