Eric Bana Returning To Bathurst In February For 12 Hour Showroom Enduro

AUSSIE MOVIE STAR Eric Bana is set to make a return to Bathurst this year, competing in the Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro next month.

The renowned car enthusiast - star and director of Love The Beast, which documented the loss of his XB GT Falcon - finished 10th overall at last year's Bathurst event and 6th in his class.

Joined again by 2009 teammates Tim Leahey and Peter Hill, Bana will race the same Mitsubishi Evolution X the trio ran to relative success last year - their first outing in the annual event.

“At the end of the day we are better prepared than we were this time last year. Pete and Eric are a lot more advanced than they were last year and we are definitely in with a chance to win,” Teammate Tim Leahey said.

“Racing is relaxing for me now and doing it with Pete and Eric is great as we are close mates and it also gives us a chance to hang out. “

The Mitsubishi Evolution has been a hot performer in the 12 Hour event, with TMR Australia's Evolution IX and Evolution X cars taking out the 2008 and 2009 honours, respectively.
