Ateco Automotive, the importer of Chery Motor Vehicles in Australia has announced a recall of its J11 SUV due to the potential for the fuel pump bracing case to crack.

If the fuel pump bracing does crack fuel may leak from the vehicle, causing a potential fire hazard.

Previously the J11,(along with other Chery and Great Wall vehicles) was recalled in 2012 over concerns some vehicles were assembled using parts containing asbestos, a substance that has been banned in Australia

Affected vehicles were built between March 2009 and December 2010. Ateco Automotive will attempt to contact owners of affected vehicles in writing.

Any J11 owner wishing to know more about this recall should contact their local Chery dealer.
