You would think that manufacturing cosmetic enhancement kits for what are already considered some of the world’s most aesthetically pleasing cars would be a tenuous business at best, but this is apparently not the case. Following on from their Aston Martin V8 Vantage ‘tidy up’, German tuner Mansory has released their version of Aston Martin’s DB9 Coupe and Volante drop-top.

Unfortunately, Mansory’s upgrade doesn’t involve any under-bonnet fettling, so power and torque remain unchanged, however the upgrade does see the fitment of 20-inch alloy wheels, along with beefier Brembo brakes, with 405mm discs and six-piston calipers up-front and four-piston calipers for the rear.

The rest is purely cosmetic and probably best viewed as a way of spending all the excess cash from your Christmas bonus on pure indulgence. There is a new front spoiler with daytime running lights, driving lights and a lower grille insert to match. The sill panels feature carbon-fibre lined intakes at the rear and there is also a new carbon-fibre rear diffuser.

On the inside the Mansory DB9 sees a mix of carbon-fibre, Alacantra and maple wood, turning an already gorgeous interior into something that your passengers won’t be able to resist commenting on.

The only real issue for those wanting a Mansory DB9, is getting their hands on a DB9 to start with. It seems that the original is considered perfect enough by most folk and as a result the waiting list is a long one…
