Since the first few sketches hit the web back in 2005, the AF10 from Arash Cars promised to be something special. The recent reveal of the production-ready vehicle confirms the AF10 looks to be serious contender in the Supercar market - if it lives up to the promise of its superb lines.

Powered by the General's 7.0L V8 engine, the very same unit powering the current generation Corvette, the AF10 is endowed with over 410kWs of power and will stop the clock on the 0-100km/h sprint in a touch over 3.4 seconds. Top speed is a claimed 320km/h and Arash is promising a supercharged 635kW version down the track which will see big gains on both figures.

The AF10's six-speed manual gearbox is supplied by Grazziano, the same manufacturer that produces the Ferrari Enzo's transmission, so strength should not be an issue. Monster 19-inch rims and tyres will come as standard, with 21-inch available on the options list.

A carbon fibre body-shell and chassis keep the weight down but the AF10 is hardly a bare-bones racer. Leather interior and satellite navigation are fitted as standard with a reversing camera and MP3 player with touch screen interface confirmed as optional extras.

A £170,000 (over AUD $410,000) RRP has been reported in the past, but at this stage official pricing is not yet available. Stunning looks and solid performance figures should see the AF10 generate plenty of interest and find more than a few buyers in its homeland. At this stage there's no word on availability for Oz.

For now, we'll just have to make do with the lovely new wallpaper.
