Following Thursday's limited reveal of the 2011 Kluger update, Toyota has today revealed the European update for the 2011 Prado. Key among the new model's tweaks is a more powerful version of the 3.0 litre diesel engine and a new trim package.

The Prado's existing 3.0 litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine has been upgraded for 2011, power getting a significant bump from 127kW to 141kW, while torque is up slightly from 410Nm to 420Nm between 1600-2800rpm.

The upgraded engine, now compliant with the upcoming Euro V emissions regulations in Europe, also features a new diesel particulate filter.

An optional Executive package has also been added to the European-market Prado, including a glass sunroof, available across the range.

Speaking with TMR today, Toyota Australia's Mike Breen confirmed that there are currently no local plans for the updated Prado. Of course, with the all-new Prado launching in Australia only last November, an update was unlikely to arrive in local showrooms so quickly.
