Earlier this month, the upcoming 2011 Chrysler 300C was spied during the filming of its promotional video footage, completely unfettered by the usual camouflage.

This week, Chrysler has launched a new promotional website for the next-generation saloon, offering a host of close-up teaser images for the LED-laden top-shelf sedan.

These images and our recent spy photos follow earlier shots of a camouflaged test car, along with an official teaser video (see the images in our gallery below) that hinted at the new model's grille and headlights. The video played at last year's Detroit Auto Show and quickly flashed through Chrysler's plans for the future.

As expected, Chrysler's redesigned wings sit atop the new grille - styled after the Sebring-replacing Chrysler 200 - while the new model's overall appearance represents a more streamlined evolution of the previous generation's hulking proportions.

The existing Hemi V8 is expected to remain, but with California's tight CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) laws likely to be adopted across the nation, smaller engined-models will probably make up the bulk of the new 300C's sales.

A 5.7 litre Hemi V8 making 260kW and 528Nm of torque will top the Jeep Grand Cherokee range in the US, and this is the V8 the 300C range will likely top out with.

The 300C will likely also draw power from the new 3.6 litre Pentastar V6 petrol engine, developing 209kW and 352Nm of torque.

Launch dates for the new 300C have yet to be revealed. While a Detroit Auto Show debut in January is probable, an unveiling at next week's Los Angeles Auto Show is not out of the question.
