2010 Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Spied During Testing

LESS THAN A DAY after we first saw leaked pictures of what many are saying is the highly-anticipated RWD Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2, a mysterious Gallardo prototype has been spotted undergoing trials at the Nurburgring.

Sporting the front bumper and rear-end styling of the old Gallardo instead of the LP560-based nose we saw in the leaked photos, this prototype carries LP560-4's headlights and bonnet. The rear diffuser appears to be subtly reshaped, and the front bumper now features a thin, central opening.

The rear-wheel-drive LP550-2 is expected to become the new lower-rung model in the Gallardo family, so the use of the old bumper designs makes sense. But if that's the case, then what did we see in yesterday's photos?
