2010 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Update Confirmed

While no official announcement has been made, Aston Martin in the UK has confirmed details with Britain's Car magazine. Australian availability is unclear at this stage.

Updates include new optional diamond-turned 10-spoke forged 19-inch alloy wheels with a silver finish, along with clear taillights and N400 sills.

New lightweight carbon-fibre and kevlar seats join the V8 Vantage's options list, cutting 17kg from the Aston's 1630kg kerb weight.

A 'Magnum' silver bonnet and side strake meshes figure among the Vantage's options, along with a 1000W Bang & Olufsen audio system.

Aston Martin has not announced changes to the updated Vantage's 4.7 litre V8 powertrain, but Car reports the will emit 315g/km of CO2, down from 328g/km.

The improvement has reportedly come through improvements to the V8 Vantage's transmission, including remapped software and revised ratios.
