Hyundai is bringing its new i30cw (crossover wagon) to the 2009 Melbourne International Motor Show. Making its Australian debut, the i30cw on display will be an Australian specification top-of-the-range Sportswagon.

The i30cw, according to Hyundai, combines all that is good about the i30 hatch, with the added benefit of more rear seat legroom and a larger luggage capacity. In fact, the i30cw is 230 mm longer and 40 mm taller than the i30 hatch.

Designed by Hyundai’s European design studio in Russelsheim Germany, the external styling is distinctive, some might say even better balanced than the already handsome i30 hatch.

The i30cw will be available with the same petrol and turbo-diesel engines found in the i30 hatch and is set to go on sale in Australia from March.
