2008 Touareg 3.0 V6 TDI gets a boost

In the tradition of a modern diesel the 3.0 V6 TDI that powers the Volkswagen Tourareg is already well endowed with kilowatts and newton metres but more is better and the VW boffins have managed to massage a few more from the turbo-diesel unit.

Volkswagen engineers have managed to find an additional 11kW and significantly increased torque output from 500Nm to 550Nm. Despite the improved engine performance Volkswagen Group Australia are leaving the recommended retail price of $74,990.00 for this model unchanged.

The new 176kW 3.0 V6 TDI Touareg model is now available to order throughout the Volkswagen dealer network. Further technical and fuel consumption date will be available closer to the arrival of this revised model early next year.
