We gave you a sneak peak at the styling of the up-coming Saab 9-3 a few days ago and since those first pictures became available more have followed as Saab themselves have broken cover and released some tantalizingly brief details.

Due to be released in Europe in September this year the new look Saab 9-3 is basically a reskin of the current car with an all new replacement not due until 2010. The new Saab 9-3 borrows heavily from the Saab Aero-X concept shown at the Paris Motor Show last year. What was old is new again as we see the return of the ubiquitous Saab clamshell bonnet, along with an aggressive new nose and flared front wheel arches.

Word is that the cabin remains largely unchanged over the outgoing model with only minor changes being evident although Saab is not providing pictures or details before the September launch.

As mentioned in an earlier article, the new Saab 9-3 will incorporate a Haldex AWD system and there is likely to be an improved bi-turbo 2.8-litre V6 carried over from the current model with more power said to be around 240kw. Bioethanol will remain an option in European spec cars.
