Toyota has brought its Hybrid Supra HV-R to the Sydney Motor Show.  The first hybrid car to win a motor race, Toyota’s engineers report having gained valuable data from the Supra’s efforts on the track, giving the company greater insight into its ongoing hybrid projects and the future of hybrid sports cars.

The knowledge gained from the HV-R experiment should allow Toyota to build lighter, more powerful, and more efficient hybrids in the future.

Now, Toyota, how about doing it with the sports coupe you didn’t build some 15 years ago?
