As evidenced by the likes of Lamborghini, Citroen, Mitsubishi and even Honda, teaser campaigns are all the rage these days. However, while Mitsubishi and Honda took a more modest approach with their teasers, Lamborghini and Citroen embarked upon a much more protracted campaign of slowly trickling out image after unrevealing image. Aston Martin has also been afflicted by this disease too, and has just kicked things up a notch by releasing a teaser video for the ultra-exclusive One-77 supercar.

If you’re expecting to see something new though, then think again. There’s nothing we haven’t seen before in the handful of teaser images previously released by Aston Martin - no interior shots, no glimpse of the engine room, for example - and there’s no new developments in technical specs either.

But listening to Aston CEO Ulrich Bez and chief designer Marek Reichman wax lyrical about the hand-built, high-tech supercar is well worth the four and a half minutes it takes to sit through the vid, and the sheer amount of passion expressed by these two individuals bodes well for the One-77. No matter what you may think about the One-77’s distinctly un-traditional form, after hearing Bez and Reichman express their love for the car there’s no doubt that when it arrives at the end of next year it will be something very special indeed.
