British comedian Harry Enfield and friends have pulled out what might be our favourite comedy sketch for 2008: Clarkson Island.

What is Clarkson Island, exactly?  It’s an island off the coast of England, shaped oddly like an Aston Martin or similar, populated almost exclusively by Jeremy Clarksons.

Available in a wide variety of types, but all sharing the common characteristic of pausing… in the middle of sentences, these Clarkson clones are farmed for their skills in automotive writing, TV appearances, and useless babbling.  Fed on a diet of raw meat and herded by The Stig, each of these Clarksons awaits the day they’re unleashed on yet another newspaper column.
