2009 Mitsubishi Colt Accidentally Revealed

Way back in the grand old month of August, we showed you some scanned pages revealing what many suspected would be the next generation Mitsubishi Colt.  And then, a couple of days ago right here in September, Mitsu announced it will be unveiling a new, unspecified model at the Paris Motor Show.

While it may not be the new Colt, the latest batch of whoopsy-daisy images we've got certainly seem to suggest it just might be (like, would that be the word 'COLT' on the snout...?).

The new Mitsubishi family face first revealed on the Lancer is plainly evident on the new Colt, with similarly sharp-angled headlights featuring a more rounded bottom edge in keeping with the overall shape of the car.

The rear loses the vertical tail lights of the current model in favour of a smaller, simpler pair, allowing a smoother and less confronting appearance.

No word yet on what other features the new Colt will bring, or what engines will power it, though it's safe to say that whatever cowers beneath the bonnet will be nothing to write home about in standard trim.

Keep an eye out for more news as the Paris Motor Show approaches.

I love the front but the rear design is so ugly. So disappointing as I was planning buy the Colt. I liked the 2008 version.
