Some improved photos of the soon to be released 08 Subaru WRX.
The front of the WRX has been NQR for a while now. This one may have more potential.
Clearer shots of the interior show it to be an improvement on the old one, which wouldn’t be difficult.
The vast majority of enthusiasts are shocked and dissapointed by the new look. While I don’t think it is a stunner I do think it will grow on you. I can see it lowered with Euro style (think Golf R32 or similar) upgraded alloys.
Perhaps Subaru are trying to appeal to the current buyers of Hot Hatches like the Golf GTi rather than their current buyer demographic, more than a few of whom think that chrome wheels and 4 inch exhausts are ‘cutting edge’?

Still looks ugly in my opinion. Certainly makes the Evo look like a better proposition.
I think you are in the majority at the moment Argo. I’d still give it a bit of time and wait to see it in the flesh. It may not be so bad.
I think that the new WRZ looks great. I have a Subaru and it is much better than anything I have driven before. What are is your view on the new shape of the nose?
I think the whole car looks shithouse Mike R did you have a look at the bonnet? I reckon that thing would suck an Albatross in it let alone a seagull or four..
