Top Gear Australia Goes Live September 29

THAT’S RIGHT, there’s only 27 more sleeps before Top Gear Australia hits the airwaves with SBS confirming the release date and subsequent weekly time-slot of 7:30pm each Monday.

In a little under four weeks we’ll know if co-hosts Charlie Cox, Warren Brown and Steve Pizzati have what it takes to make TGA ‘cut the mustard’.

While we can expect to see a bevy of local products put through their paces, we know for certain that at least some foreign metal will be represented.

Eagle-eyed snappers caught our very own dingo-eating Stig at Camden airport testing one of only two RHD Ford GT40’s in the world late last month.

Once TGA goes live you can expect to see clips from our series hitting the Top Gear YouTube channel so keep your eyes peeled.

If you’re more interested in getting in on the action personally, you’ll be pleased to know that applications are still open for the live studio audience across late September to mid-October. (So if you’re keen, you’d best get in quick.)

Is Top Gear Australia going to live up to the promise? Time will tell…

Can’t wait.

Already applied for the September shows (live interstate so middle of the week is a no-go)… if it stinks, at least we can heckle from the crowd!

It should work really well so long as they engage with the entire motoring scene/pschye we have in this country and keep the commodore/falcon roadtests to an absolute minimum ffs.
I really hope it gets into not only new cars but all the racing, ARC, 4X4, bikes & historic/classic stuff.
Those guys have big shoes to fill………

I’ve applied for filming at the shows too.

I can’t wait.
