2010 Mercedes E-Class Revealed?

The neat styling of the current C-Class looks to be forming the basis for the upcoming 2010 Mercedes E-Class, tossing the old round-eye style out the window.

Expected to wear stronger, sharper, and edgier lines, the new E-Class should finally bring the out-there styling battle to BMW for a change, rather than the other way around.

These speculative images surfaced on the 'net this weekend, and if they're anything to go by, we might finally be able to expect some revolutionary rather than evolutionary styling from the house that Daimler built.

The new E-Class will be shunted along by Merc's direct injection 3.5 litre V6, as well as a pair of V8 options based on the existing 4.5 and 5.5 litre blocks.  Also expected is a hybrid version in 2010, and a BLUETEC diesel.  Combined with the news that all Mercedes models will be strapping turbos by 2010, the E-Class looks to be all about options.

Not entirely sold on this, the rear end looks like a hyundai sonata!! The side profile is a little too edgy for a luxury merc.
