Skoda will unveil the Sportline derivative of its all-new Kodiaq at the Geneva Motor Show in March, dressing the seven-seat SUV up with an extensive black treatment across the grille, roof rails, exterior mirrors and side window trims.

The Sportline package follows the lead set by the Superb Sportline, offering a more athletic appearence package, which in the case of the Kodiaq includes body-coloured protective side mouldings, a silver garnish on the rear bumper, and small black flics at each lower corner of the front bumper. Wheels are 19-inch alloys as standard or optional 20-inch.

Inside are sports seats in trimmed in Alcantara, aluminium pedals, leather-wrapped sports steering wheel and gear lever, plus digital readouts for G-force and turbocharger boost.

The engine choice in Europe comprises two TSI petrol powerplants (110kW 1.4-litre or 132kW 2.0-litre) and two 2.0-litre TDI diesels (110kW or 140kW). All-wheel-drive is standard and the driver-select Dynamic Chassis Control system with electronic dampers is optional.

Skoda will also have a more off road-styled Kodiaq Scout variant on show at Geneva, with an appearence package suited more towards the SUV's adventure capabilities with limited mechanical changes.

Skoda Kodiaq launches locally later this year with the 132TSI and 140TDI engines. Full Australian range, pricing, and specifications will be confirmed coser to launch
