Although only a concept at this stage, Nissan says the evolution of the current Vmotion grille and floating roof (one line in the silhouette flows from the steeply-raked A-pillars through to the boot lid) signal the future design direction.
There are also some links to Nissan’s autonomous future - especially the rear diffuser which, like the front grille, is illuminated when the vehicle is operating in ProPilot mode.
A layered-effect paint finish in warm silver with copper undertones reveals different shades according to body and light angles.
The rear-suicide doors will not make the production version but interesting features inside include a large horizontal dashboard - which blends driver information and infotainment and offers a smaller screen on the centre console for rear-seat passengers - and a configuration/layout friendly for ProPilot operation.
The seats are finished in leather with threadless quilting which Nissan says gives the look of an upmarket leather handbag while Zebra Wood finishes are used for the door inners and floor.
And audio uses the Bose UltraNearfield which can generate a 360-degree soundfield.
