There’s a fairly solid chance you’ll never again be late for another high-powered executive luncheon thanks to the recently unveiled Bentley Flying Spur W12 S.
Designed to sit at the top of the Flying Spur sedan range, the W12 S holds the title as the British luxury maker’s fastest-ever four-door, capable of a top whack of 325km/h and able to sprint from 0-100 km/h in as little as 4.5 seconds.
To do that, power from the twin-turbocharged 6.0 litre W12 engine has been wound up ever so slightly from 460kW to 467kW, while torque climbs from 800Nm to 820Nm, available from 2000rpm.
“The Flying Spur W12 S is the ultimate luxury performance sedan,” according to Bentley Motors Chief Executive Wolfgang Dürheimer.
“It combines sharper dynamics and an increase in power from our renowned W12 engine with a more assertive exterior and interior design for customers looking for a Flying Spur with extra attitude.”
To accompany the extra urge Bentley has equipped the Flying Spur W12 S with a sports suspension tune, including specifically tuned dampers, which promise to deliver high levels of driver engagement while also pampering passengers.
From the outside the W12 S hints at its potential via a subtle gloss black treatment, applied to the window surrounds, door handle inserts, headlights and taillights; while the black grille, rear diffuser and mirror caps have been adopted from the Flying Spur V8 S.
Rolling stock is a choice of either standard seven-spoke 21-inch gloss black wheels, or optional directional five-spoke wheels finished in either gloss black or dark tint.
The interior is decorated with a new black engine-spin finish on the dash and door trims, with optional satin carbon-fibre available. A sports steering wheel and knurled gearshift paddles are part of the standard W12 S package as well as a single-tone interior with trim accents available in a choice of 17 shades.
The Flying Spuer W12 S will be introduced to the public at the Paris Motor Show next month.
