Three more manufacturers have added to 2016’s growing recall list, this time for three separate and unrelated issues, and each concerning only a small number of vehicles.

Owners of the Holden Malibu, built between the 9th of July 2015 and 13th of July 2015 are advised that a pivot pin located in the rear right and centre seatbelt buckle may not have been assembled correctly.

In some cases the right rear or centre rear seatbelt may detach from its mounting plate, rendering the seatbelt incapable of restraining an occupant in a collision. A total of 35 vehicles are affected.

Owners of the Infiniti M35 and Q70 hybrid have been issued with a recall notice relating to a potential electric water-pump failure for the cooling circuit of the hybrid drive system on 16 Australian-delivered vehicles built between June 2012 and October 2013.

The vehicle will still trigger the warning light in the instrument cluster, however if the vehicle continues to be driven the overheat protection control function may operate, causing the engine and traction (electric) motor to stop, resulting in a loss of power.

Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall affecting 14 of its A 45, CLA 45, and GLA 45 vehicles sold between the 1st of November 2015 and the 30th of January 2016.

A welded seam in the dual-clutch transmission assembly may fracture, resulting in a loss of drive.

Owners of the affected vehicles will be contacted by their respective manufacturers with relation to recalls, but any owner wishing to find out more information is advised to contact their local dealership.
