Fioravanti Ferrari F430 Spotted

Earlier this year reports were swirling about that Ferrari would begin allowing customers, albeit extremely wealthy ones, the opportunity to take an F430, Enzo, or 612 Scaglietti and have it reworked by one of Ferrari's trusted coachbuilders. Now cast your eyes over one of the first vehicles to make its way through the program.

Spotted at Ferrari's Fiorano test track, the modified F430 is rumoured to be the work of Italian design house Fioravanti. Not much of the donor F430 is left untouched with revisions evident from all angles (some, you might agree, not necessarily for the better).

The most notable work up front is the revised air dams which are larger and more angular than on the standard F430. The side profile of the car reveals enlarged air-intakes for the engine and the addition of sculptured lines through the body panels along and behind the doors. Out back, the twin taillights have been ditched in favour of single Ferrari 599 units, while the upper portion of the rear bar has been blacked out giving the car a somewhat spartan appearance from behind.

Interior alterations are as yet unknown but given the prodigious use of carbon fibre throughout the bodywork, you'd expect the lightweight theme to be also evident inside the cabin.

I like the F430 but I'm hard-pressed to find anything about this rendition that looks like an improvement. Have a click through the gallery images below; I've also thrown in a stock F430 for good measure, and tell us what you think in the comments, yay or nay?

I love current Ferrari's of old & new, but this one looks purely terrible! :( Hope it goes as good as it looks bad to compensate a bit...

Mr. Fiorvanti - "but" he sure is losing it with his "style" 0f design , it's like a BAD LSD trip when you are looking at what he puts out there........
