Suzuki has recalled its S-Cross SUV, due to a potential problem with the side airbags.

Airbags mounted in the front seats may be restricted during inflation, if needed, as the seat stitching was incorrectly spaced during seat production.

Tight seat stitching may prevent the airbag from offering its maximum level of protection during a collision, causing a hazard to the vehicle’s occupants.

Suzuki is targeting a specific range of Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) with the S-Cross recall, and a total of 3755 examples are affected in Australia.

During the recall process, the S-Cross’s front seats will have their seat coverings replaced.

Suzuki is encouraging owners to contact their local dealer to schedule the recall work.
